Word of advice to original poster, if you want to join a specific team then approach them directly. Teams that are looking aren't likely to all advertise on this forum and they probably won't email a random anonymous paddler from this forum.
Things that might be of interest to a new team are:
- Paddling side and experience
- Expectations for the upcoming year
- Attitude and ability to fit in with the crew.
