Re: Canadian National Championships update

Dragon Boat Canada is pleased to announce the dates and locations for the 2006 and 2007 Canadian National Championships of Dragon Boating. For 2008 and thereafter a bidding process to host the event will take place in the 2-3 years preceding the event. Bids to host 2008 will be accepted in the early fall of 2006. Bidding documents will be published prior to this.

The Canadian National Championships will be produced by DBC. Volunteers, equipment and other resources may be needed to host the events. More information to follow.

The 2006 Canadian National Championships will take place at the Welland National Watersport Center from September 2-3, which will have full installations in place in preparation for the following year’s IDBF Corporate Community Championships.

The 2007 Canadian National Championships will take place in Calgary from August 24-26 at the new dragon boat pavilion being built by the Alberta Dragon Boat Foundation on the Glenmore reserve.

So this is different that the National Team Trials?

One is for clubs, the other is for selecting world championship teams. yeah, pretty different

finaly a race off for final trash talk. east vs west vs Quebec.

I'm wondering if we can race at national trials in Welland to tune up for club worlds.

Anyone can race at trials. That's why they call it trials.
