Re: Changes to 2006 sport crew membership fees

Dragon Boat Canada is updating its sport crew membership fee for 2006. A new fee of $150 per crew will replace the previous fee of $50 per crew plus $10 per paddler. This fee will apply to all crews taking part in DBC sanctioned races.
The new fee structure will be easier to administer for both crews and DBC.


Gotta love that. Somehow tripling the fee is going to make things easier to administer for DBC and the club crews. Sure for the ones that opt out due to the increase it will be easier. Not sure how paying more makes anyting easier for anyone else though.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but if its a flat $150 per crew, then its cheaper isn't it? No $10 per paddler, or is that still in addition to the $150?

Average of 25 paddlers per team at $10/member=$250.00
Plus $50 for the team=$50

This gives you a grand total of $300.00

How in the hell is $150 more or even triple that?
