what's the back story of all the hate for mofo, riptide and others??

Mofos - Because people don't understand why they take their shirts off and flex. Apparently they don't understand humour.

RipTide - Do a search on this forum (top right hand corner) and look for "Waterloo" "will not be denied" "2005".

I hate the Imperial Dragons.

Personally speaking, I like the Mofos. They're fit, fun and they have a sense of humour. And they have an awesome web site, which is a lot more than I can say for most teams. At the same time, it's fun to bash them from time to time because otherwise this forum would be deadly boring. I mean, have you read the recent discussions about national teams from other countries? B-O-R-I-N-G!!

Mofos - hated because they're funny and you're not allowed to have fun in db

Riptide - hated because haters are jealous at them not being denied

Shockwave - hated because because they jumped up many spots in the rankings

PDBC - hated because they stole the locals' prize-money at a festival

Hammerheads - hated because they sometimes race under different names

Kindred Spirits - See Mofos. In addition, they indirectly endorse pedos by blaring awesome MJ tunes in their music-bubble machine

Everyone Else - hated because they are imploding, disbanding, wash-riding, too old, pelvic thrusting too much, and/or just generally have ugly chicks on their team.

I've been paddling for a few years and my team has made its way up through the DB community. Now, there have been many other teams out there who have been paddling for just as long (if not longer) that have just stayed in the same spot. Why bother? Why waste money every year to be in the same place or go down? You know who I am talking about, there are plenty of them. They say they are competitive, but they paddle as slow as ever.

Apparently fun, physical exercise, socializing, networking, fresh air and getting an awesome tan are not good enough reasons. If all paddlers had as sour an attitude as you, we would all be in trouble.

Relax - not everyone has the same mandate as you.
