My votes : Brian Makrous... The wunder god made the leap from an intermediate level team toward being a man stud on the slayers... THUMBS UP

Coach of the year : Jode Lax.... Calm and methodical and always the paddlers coach. With his positive re-inforcements style he has always gotten best out of his team....

Team of the year : tie BMO, TELUS and the Slayers....

Race of the year: Quebec Cup.... 22 dragons once again shows the MIDBRF how to run a proper festival....

except maybe the quebec cup part...but montreal festival has over double the entries...organization harder.

how to organize the event? Let's see, no checking of paddlers of boat hopping, simple regatta, no bailing of the boats, awful calling of teams. Hahaha. Yes, you're right. Way better organized by far.

although, I guess he would make less cash that way...

Actually the guys and gals on the dock did a fine job of bailing any boat I was in. As well there were no problems with the calling of teams. (at least not our team) I can't comment on the boat jumping issue, but it didn't seem to make much difference.(at the top level anyway) The strongest two teams pretty much dominated.

The announcer at the QC cup was WAY bettre than at the Mtl festival.

I say congrats to all the coaches who braved those insane winds on the Sunday afternoon of the QC Cup...especially in the 2k races!
You can't really compare MIDBRF and QC Cup...different contexts.
