I'm moving to the Durham area and would like to know what teams paddle out of Frenchman's Bay...thanks.

PDBC, G&G, Scotia, Hanalei, Shockwave?, WRCC

(Uh, dude... the guy is new to the area. Why don't you TELL him what that alphabet soup means, instead of abbreviating all of the club names like he's been living there his entire life? THAT would be more helpful, no?)

What does G&G stand for? Google fails me.

PDBC, G&G, Hanelei and Scotia are all A level teams.

PDBC - Pickering Dragon Boat Club, have a website host the pickering dragonboat festival. Have many teams at differing age levels X, Elite, Junior, Mens, Womens, Masters. Are very competitive. Competed at last 3 WCCC's

G&G - Gary Tsuziki's team (sp??) stands for G & G Electronics, every dragoboaters electronics best friend. 2 Crews - super competitve (filled with Olympians, National flatties etc) won Pickering Festival last year, and G&G Freinds crew - competivive but less intense, won Pickering rec division last year. Huge sponsorship from Gary. Competed at WCCC

WRCC - West Rouge Canoe Club, is a canoe club that offers DB, OC, War Canoe, Kayak as well as C1 and C2 (obviously). Competitive have different teams at differing levels and age classes

Hanalei - Community team no sponsorship. Competitve, have a history of a lot of small boat paddling as well as DB. Coach is a huge Outrigger paddler

ScotiaRouge - Bank based/sponored team. Paddle out of WRCC. Very competitive. Competed at WCCC

2 Main teams/ clubs are West Rouge Canoe Club and Pickering Dragonboat Club, If you are looking for soely Dragonboat, PDBC might be the way to go, but if you want an all around experience in paddling, WRCC would be the way to go...
