Hello Everyone,

There are still a few spots left in our Competitive Division for our annual MDBF.
Use this festival as a training tool to test your starts against the best crews in Canada.
The MDBF is a 200m sprint event.
The MDBF is a sanctioned DBC Event and crew qualifier for the CCWC.
G&G Electronics, The Mojo's and the Chateaguay Canoe Club are confirmed entries in this years festival, laying the ground works for one of the fastest 200m fields in dragonboating.

The entry fee for the competitive division is only $750. The festival is on June 10th, 2007.

$750!!!

Three races at $750 - $250 per race.

$250 over 200m = $1.25/m

To compare:
Toronto Island (recognized as being one of the most expensive) = $1.28/m (3 races) or $0.96/m (3 + specialty race with all being 500m)

GWN = $0.82/m (4 x 500m)

Stouffville = $0.53/m (1 x 200m and 2 x 500m)

This is the reason why people think Canoe Clubs are using DB for the money.

Please, please, PLEASE do not take this idiot to be representative of dragon boat paddlers. $'s per metre? Are you joking?

REAL dragonboaters measure their fees in $/stroke

Not so far off

I'm not paying more to go to a 200m sprint race than I am for a 500m race.

I hear the Chateauguay Canoe Club is going to "feed it" to G&G. That alone would be worth the price of admission!
