"The COC stunned Roos just before Athens when they adopted the brands See You In Torino, See You In Beijing and See You In Vancouver under their status as a "public authority" under Section 9 of the Trademarks Act. It was seen by Roos and many athletes as an attempt to put her out of business, something the COC denies.

"They were trying to shut her up and shut her down because she's causing too much trouble and making the COC look bad," said canoeist Tamas Buday of Mississauga."


Editorial: I'm glad that Roos won this round, but I agree with Adam that it's a shame if money that could have been spent on athletes went to lawyers instead.
