| just want to know the following:
potentially in the mixed sport event how many races
will one team have to race on saturday if they qualify for all the championship? |

5 - 1 500 heat (qualifies for 200 final and A or B Division 500 Semi)
1 200 final (only A division teams)
1 500 semi (A and B division - qualifies for championship or consolation final)
1 500 Final
1 2000 final (only A division teams) |

So the teams not in the top 12 only get 2 races?

Sport Mixed Division – Championship Points System
Sport Mixed Division – Race Format
- The race format of the Sport Mixed Division has changed for 2007.
- Following the qualifying heats for all 24 crews, the fastest 12 crews advance
to three championships races: 200m, 500m & 2000m.
- Each of these 12 crews will accumulate points according to their place finish
in each of the championship races as shown below.
- The crew accumulating the most points will win the Oikawa Cup, emblematic
of the Sport Mixed Division Championship.
Sport Mixed Division - Race Progression:
1. Qualifying Heats – 24 crews
2. 200m Championship Finals – 12 crews for points
3. 500m Semi-Finals – 24 crews
4. 500m Championship Finals – 12 crews for points
5. 2000m Championship Finals – 12 crews for points
Sport Mixed Division - Point Distribution:
All 3 championship finals are equally weighted, meaning the same point distribution
applies to all 3 championship race distances: 200m, 500m and 2000m.
1st Place = 12 points 7th Place = 6 points
2nd Place = 11 points 8th Place = 5 points
3rd Place = 10 points 9th Place = 4 points
4th Place = 9 points 10th Place = 3 points
5th Place = 8 points 11th Place = 2 points
6th Place = 7 points 12th Place = 1 point |

Actually, every crew get 3 races (500s) the top 12 crews in the sport division get an extra 200 and 2000 | |
