| With all due respect, is it simply a lack of interest or of information that prevents DBC and other sites to rank the women's crews? |

It is lack of information and the relatively small number of crews. There are hundreds of mixed crews and only a handful of single gender crews. For the single gender crews it is often the usual suspects racing at each festival, so they know how they rank against their peers. |

It's resources - i.e. person hours. If anyone is interested in investing time to make it happen I have all the data and can show you what to do.

Hey PD. What program do you use to do the regression? Just excel or is it a different data analysis package altogether? |

Just excel for the regressions (then access to build the rankings). For a women's rankings performing regressions would not be necessary (as the ones done for the mixed could just be applied). The bulk of the work would be tagging teams, building a tracking database, and running things through access.

I'd add to that there is in fact aswell a general lack of interest. |

I would say the sheer numbers. No offense, but I don't see it worthwhile to rank the BCS teams. However, of the top tiered women's teams (and I honestly offer my full respect to them), there are a limited amount of teams, and I would say that the ones who pay attention to the results know who the strong teams are. | |
