Can be found at Ridgemont High and Oakville Dragon Boat races. With Ridgemont it's a young Phoebe Cates. Oakville just has a slightly short course. |

The race organizers changed things this year. The course ran in the opposite direction to allow the course to be a true 500m course, as in the past it was slightly shorter. |

"A Consolidation"?
Does that mean its the rest of the other teams at the festival? |

Just a different format. One-day festivals with three races like Oakville work like this:
Race 1 is random.
Race 2 is seeded based on times of first race.
(Top 5 times are in A-semi 1, next 5 race in A-semi 2, next 5 in B-semi 1, next 5 B-semi 2 etc.)
Race 3 is against those in your semi pool, after reseeding based on Race 2.
(Top times in both A-semi 1 and A-semi 2 will go to A championship. The rest in the A-semis go to A Consolation. Same applies to B, C, D etc.)

| no SCD at GWN | August 20 2007, 6:41 PM |
I'm afraid that we don't have enough paddlers available to travel in September. We didn't fill the boat in Oakville, either, as a matter of fact.
Some of Pittsburgh's finest will be at Worlds, however, paddling for the American Masters and GM teams.
(hi to whoever that is, if I know you from DB camp or elsewhere) |

That's too bad. Would have been nice to see you guys there. Good luck at the Worlds.
Maybe we'll run into you in Florida next year.
Later,
