Wow, not one but TWO stories about our returning National Team paddlers. They even have pictures!

Nice to see them getting the recognition they deserve. Maybe one day the major newspapers will pick up on this. But for now, any news is good news.

One for the Seniors:

"O'Hanley, Duwel Dragon Boat queens

Dan Rosenburg

Two Chateauguay-based educators won nine gold medals between them at the World Dragon Boat championships in Sydney, Australia last month.

Joanne O'Hanley, a guidance counsellor at the Kahnawake Survival School, and Anita Duwel, adult education co-ordinator for the New Frontiers School Board, were radiant with success after paddling for Canada in the senior division for competitors over 40."

And one for our Premiere Women:

http://www.insidetoronto.ca/sports/Sports/article/32248

"Vickie Hiltz is most likely the envy of all women.
Just four hours before her son was born, the King and Dufferin area resident was at the gym. Once arriving at the hospital, her labour lasted only 40 minutes. Her doctor joked that next time, she'll have to camp out at the hospital.
...
Hiltz, whose son Xavier is now six months old, just returned from Australia where she competed in the International Dragon Boat competition last month. The team won gold in all four events it competed in."

That's awesome. Just wish they would stop calling them "Rowers"...
