Montreal happens when people will be leaving for Malaysia, so not sure about Verdun....

The best US teams will not be in Montreal, beceause they'll be paddling at US Nationals in California.

Forget the top mtl teams. BMO, Verdun, Merge (aka hyperactif/telus), wongs, the women and men are all gone to malaysia.

With Malaysia and US nationals this is a B event for the taking.

Verdun, the women and men teams are gone to Malaysia...

But BMO, The merge and The Wong's are NOT gone to Malaysia...

But will other teams ride Hanalei?

There is also a MTL Senior team going to Malaysia.

BMO, Merge, wongs etc.. are all wrapped up in the men's, women's and senior crews.

Gung Ho are going. They posted some soild times in Ottawa. Not sure they can take down Hanalei, but they could be in the mix...

Gung Ho will NOT take down Hanalei. But should be in the watered down A final. Big Fish should be back in the A final as well (if they're going). New College might get into the final and MAD should give it a good shot too.

I think DCH will be in there. Didn't they win last year against the Philly. And they had strong times in Hong Kong this year also.

DCH won the 250 men's sprint out of lane 1 but did not A final in the mixed. Regardless they always race well in Montreal.

So DCH is not going to the U.S. Nationals? They have more then one team are you sure it's thier fast team.

DCH hasn't raced in the Nationals since like 1999. Its not in their interest. Besides who cares about the US teams, outside of the Philly crew, none of them will even make the 'B' division.

Hanalei will win in the first event they can't wash ride? Um ya. So what you're saying is they have no gold medals in the last three years? hum. Clearly you don't follow the teams you post about and trash.

Just came home from watching the final 2k at the Canadian Championships.

I believe that Verdun is a much better team than Hanalei and will win this regatta on home soil.
BMO should be good too.

Montreal Thunder will sweep the Mixed division, Journey of a Dragon will stop racing for fun and dominate the mens division, and i see Eye catch (Get it See Eye Catch) Cruising to a easy gold medal in the womens division
