Yes. New BuKs (new slick gelcoat interior) for all racers.
6 boats through 22D, plus servicing (Matt Robert).
3 boats through H2Oplayground
3 boats through 3R (Shawinigan)
1 or 2 spare older BuK (2004 model)
Apex paddles for all (should have enough, if not our plenty of trusty wooden Grey Owls are available) 42"-51" available, we might be low on the 50"-51" paddles.
You can use only IDBF spec paddles, carbon paddles permitted.
Lifejackets OPTIONAL for all, but must be in the boat.
Drummer: Minimum age is 12 years old, (Minors) must have parental written consent. No act of drumming is necessary. All boats must have a drummer
Minimum of 8 women + 8 men paddlers required. Full boat: 20 paddlers + 1 drummer + 1 steer.
Sat.
Two 500m races/team/day (best of a team's two times seeds you directly for the 500m & the 250m final on Sunday)
Special 250m challenges for those who qualify.
Sun.
500m Final (morning)
250m Final (afternoon)
Free case of cold Eska Water/day for each team.
Free case of Guru/weekend for each team.
NO BBQ or cooking allowed on the site at all! No sleeping overnight! Very very strict policy. Sorry new rules by the Parc Jean Drapeau.
Racer Starter: Mr. Richard Archambault, AQCKV. Same and rated (not-officially) best starter in Canada.

It's not a good move by Sunny. Nothing to do with him (outside of not selecting Ramsay's crap boats or FMG's).
The SRS boats belonged to DBC and they were taken back refurbished and then sent to remote locations in Ontario to promote dragonboating (since they were bought with the Ontario Trillium grant). |

What are you talking about? We used to do a fine exchange using the 6 SRS dragon boats from TCBA (now sold to Blake Hara) for our event.
The Trillium SRS boats were never used for our event. Get your facts straight please.
I chose to use the newer BuKs for our racers, as our racers demand. I could have just as easily used Blake Hara's SRS boats with our existing fleet if I wished. |

This is a very smart move by Sunny.
There is no question that having BuK's at the Mtl festival is an upgrade.
Way to listen to your paddlers!!
Looking forward to Mtl |
