We are the few, the proud, the old. We are the ordinary doing the extraordinary.
We set impossibly high standards and then meet them. We set unachievable goals and achieve them.
We do it by loving what we do and working harder than anyone on the block.
We are CSDC. The Canadian Senior Dragonboat Club. Winners of a dozen IDBF club world championships and a drawer full of Nations Cup medals.
We about to embark on a campaign that will lead us to the next world club crews in Macau and for the first time in our history we are inviting the morbidly curious to see what the fun is all about. We want to qualify and take an open, women's and mixed Senior team to Macau.
We are looking for the right attitude more than the right experience or the right body but will gladly take two or all three. Open pool practices and circuit training at Missy begins in December.
Join us if you dare. Sorry, 38 and older only please.
For times/more info contact Konrad at csdcrecruit@gmail.com
What about Prague and are you going to have a conflict with the Montreal qualifiers? Is that why you are looking for bodies? Will the top guns who go to Prague then come back and take seats to Macau?

Did CSDC race off for a berth in Prague? I think they're strictly club crew....

A handful of the CSDC paddlers may paddle with the Canadian senior team in Prague (i.e. join the Farintosh/McDonald syndicate), or with the grand dragon team. But I think the call for new members mainly reflects the turnover that you see with any team after a prolonged period of success.

"A Drawer Full of Nations Cup Medals"

I don't think senior events count towards the Nations Cup... otherwise Canada would have walked away with the Nations Cup in Sydney.
Since when is the CSDC team the winner of a drawer full of Nations Cup medals???

I'm sure Albert will be glad to know he has so many to chose from.
Must have been why you were in their boat for the trials.

I think the questions is :
Will the new team members be on the roster for the 2010 Club Crews after the national team seniors become available ? Or will they get dumped ?
Knowing Konrad and the CSDBC well I cannot see new people getting dumped.
