Piranhas sponsor an “abusive” tax shelter?

From the Jan. 13 Star:

Tax shelters such as Parklane Financial were exposed in a Star probe that began in 2007. Tax shelters need a registered charity or amateur athletic group to exist, so they can tell donors the money is going to good works and so the registered group can write tax receipts.

The Piranhas list Parklane Financial as a sponsor on their website and have often raced as the Parklane-Trafalger name. Parklanes website lists Ron Olsthoorn, quoted in the stars story, as president and describe Parklane as an affiliate of the Bermuda-based Trafalger Group.

Wow, that took effort to remember those details. Was that really necessary? You're almost insinuating that the Piranhas were involved.

... and who really cares? It took a lot of your time to research and type this, which has no relevance to DB or the Piranhas DB Team/Club. Next thing you will be saying that the Balmy beach is involved.

Get a life and stop surfing the internet with dial up and get DSL
