Seeking advice from BCS teams re; Pink Carnation Ceremony

May 13 2009 at 12:46 PM

On August 15th and 16th the Riverfront Dragon Boat & Asian Festival in Hartford, CT would like to incorporate a "Pink Carnation Ceremony" into our festival to honor breast cancer survivors and their teams. We have a general understanding of the ceremony but want to make sure we do it in a respectful and meaningful way. Any advice regarding this matter is greatly appreciated.

Youtube has a video clip of the ceremony:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBE5ByUrRiI

If you click on mon2727 (person who upload the video clip) and send her/him a message, you may get the asnwer to your question. Just an assumption.

"I recommend not asking this anonymous forum...."

Oh, yeah. Best advice I've heard in a long time. Don't bring that up around here.
