Check out page 8. Bob McNamara tells all U.S. paddlers that they should "show allegiance" to the USDBF. He goes on to bash dragonboaters who are now part of USACK, saying that they have a "me first" attitude.
In the accompanying photo, Ross Flemer is pictured holding the Nations Cup. Flemer is now the Director of Non-Olympic Sports at USACK (yes, that includes dragonboat). Flemer is also the captain of McNamara's Premier team.
McNamara has also asked some of those USACK paddlers who he has bashed to try out for his Prague teams.
So while McNamara bashes the USACK dragonboat effort and those paddlers who are paddling with USACK, he doesn't seem to have a problem with those paddlers if they can perhaps help his teams at Prague.
"Me first"? Clearly.

Hello clueless,
You and your cronies already extensively tore McNamara up over this in another thread, please don't occupy this thread with the SOS. That thread was titled "Coach McNamara, please clarify" and he did. You probably started that thread too. If you want reopen the other thread so we can ignore you on it but leave this one alone. This one is about a magazine not your personal peeve against him.

Baloney. His has a whole page in the magazine, so his comments are fodder for this thread. |

So how is that USACK dragon boat coming? Who tried out, what was the criteria, were there selection trials, how does one earn the right to call themselves a USACK national team paddler? When are they going to Korea for the ICF world club crews? Who is on the team? |

The above post has nothing to do with the magazine, does it? | |
