| Lots of racing available this past weekend with Toronto, Oakville and London festivals. So any competitive head to head racing or were these watered down events? |

Toronto Cup was a low budget, watered down affair. Scotia-Rouge-Piranhas dominated but were DQ'd in the A Final. |

Still curious about the times. Where are they? |

Thanks to Blake and his team for a fun day of racing. Enjoyed the new take on a 2km. Really enjoyed the BBQ at TS&CC. |

I raced at both events this past weekend and can say the Mayfair Warriors (with no Predators aboard it appears) were the only "strong" team in Oakville with race times of something like 2:06. The Toronto Cup had about 7 decently strong teams that will be or are lower "A" or solid "B" division crews at GWN. Both events were well run and enjoyable to take part in. The bonus at Kelso was the beach and clean water to swin in after the races were done. |

I'd put SRP as a solid "A" Crew.
The times for the Toronto Cup were consistent with other events from this year when
there was no wind in the first round, which then turned into a headwind after that. |

Ok I'm not putting these guys down, but can someone please explain how you dominate a race you are DQed in?
I'm just asking because I was not there. |

Back to Oakville... I take it from the earlier comment that Mayfair "B" won... what were the rest of the results? Were Riptide / Komodos anywhere close to them (I assume these two teams finished 2 and 3 in any order)? Who else made the "a" final? Does anyone have times? |

It was a very close race, but I believe SRP would have finished second if it wasn't for the time penalty, unless they were given a penalty that was greater than 5 seconds.
From memory:
U23 - 2:06.36
SRP - 2:06.58 (without penalty) |

You have to wonder about the Warriors, if they have enough paddlers without help from Preds, why did they wait so late to start their season? I'm assuming we'll see them at GWN? |

Is that all SRP could pull off? Looks like the Mofos might give them a run for their money... |

There was a lot of confusion at the end at NDC. There was a collision at the end, for those that didnt get to see.. |

Mayfair Warriors posted a final time of 2:00.53. Their other heats were in the 2:03 range. |

i just wanted to know..no need to use names like butterball. "weenie" as you call him is a decent paddler and its good to see him back in the boat. |

Mayfair was 2:00.5 and Roptide was second in 2:04.3 at Oakville.
Less competition than other years.

Hard to gauge what to expect from this Warrior team at GWN, based on the results so far. Expect them to be competitive though. |

SRP raced in the Saints lane all the way down the course. They were leading the race and dragging the Saints along with them up until they both collided near the finish. Impressive given they shared a lane (their fault) and were basically going diagonal down the course. |

Not so impressive since they stacked their team with Paddlers from other teams. |

Some Mayfair too. Dunno who the rookies were but there was a former IMP turned hydro in there too. |

Saints Crew.
Thank you for most of the ill-informed speculation.
Job-relocation, injury and a family emergency required filling out
the current roster.
I'll inform the two paddlers that they are now ringers - I'm sure this
will be of great delight and surprise to them.
We would gladly accept a couple of Hydro's if they were available.
We'll see you all at GWN, with the same "stacked" roster. |

Oh come on Dave B. Ill informed or accurate and you spinning? At a glance you have a national team female Predator, an ex-Imperial Dragon turned Hydro as well as a few others. Are you to have us believe your Saints crew magically got that good? Look at the Mofo rankings, you guys paddled way out of your class. Congrats on keeping the same stacked roster for GWN. You should medal given who is going. |

Who were the two ringers? They made a big improvement if you're not lying. Looking at the rankings here is the average times:
#20 Mojos: 2:07.5
#38 Saints: 2:10.0
Using the head-to-head tool the Mojos beat the Saints head-to-head by over 2 seconds.
Common Opponents Analysis
TEAMS THAT THE SAINTS LOST TO THAT MOJOS BEAT
1.COLLINGWOOD SIDELAUNCHERS
2.GSK FIREDRAGONS
3.THE BLADES
4.OLD SKUL'D
TEAMS THAT MOJOS LOST TO THAT THE SAINTS BEAT
1.GSK FIREDRAGONS
Common opponents comparison favors MOJOS
So how do the Saints go from being over 2 second dogs to beating the Mojos easily? These two paddlers must be all-world.

ringers?! hahahha... I saw guys with water vipers jerseys paddling... maybe it was them that contributed to their overly fast times hahahhahaha |

What if the Mojos were watered down? If the Saints have been blessed with X number of national level paddlers, then so be it. I'm sure anyone on this forum would do the same if they were missing a few bodies. What other option do they have? Forfeit the regatta and all the entry fee because they don't have a full crew or race with 17-18 people?!? |

Rosters: knowing the St Joe's roster quite well having raced them many times this year I can say their roster this past weekend had allot of new bodies/replacements. The Mojos were their normal selves with less CSDBC mercenaries than usual in their boat. As far as who finished ahead of who this past weekend, The Blades head to head finished ahead of the Mojos and the Mojos finished ahead of GSK. GWN should be interesting between these teams. |

The Saints had Hammerheads in their boat among other new replacements. What happened to their original paddlers? |

We've rubbed paddlers with Saints for the past four plus years and
they always get faster towards GWN. Nothing strange there. We heard
they've done lots of testing.
