Looks like the USDBF is more messed up than anyone realized. They just announced that GWN will be hosting the US Nationals in 2013 (at Lake Mercer in NJ). Why trust your members to run your national championships when you can hire a Canadian company to do it for you? At least it should be well run, unlike the past few US Nationals. (Hey, let's go back to Fort Dodge!) Maybe Pan Am can host the Canadian Nationals next.

I really don't get that post.

What I see is:

1) Nationals are in the US hosted in NJ
2) A vendor was chosed to put on the event and they chose GWN. A company that just happens to be about the best at doing it.

In what way does this disparage the USDBF? Because they went with a highly capable Canadian vendor to put on the event? As stated, maybe they just wanted it run better? That's a bad thing?

What a lame first post. Clearly written by a bitter member of Pan Am Dragon Boat, which got passed over by the USDBF! HAHA!!!!!

Does it really matter who runs the event? At least we'll know that we are getting an experienced provider who will do things correctly. In my mind, it's a step forward for the USDBF who otherwise seems to have taken quite a few backwards.

Maybe Dbc could run the usdbf?
