He married Susan Burnie They moved to Canada in 1827 and had 4 sons 3 doctors and 1 a druggist.
Dr. Christopher Lang (his son)was an outstanding surgeon,in Owen Sound.
Dr. Archibald Lang another son, practised in Sault Saint Marie.
Dr. Thomas Lang another son died at an early age, and Birnie Lang another son's drug store business was purchased later by Dr. Thomas Middlebro .
