Has anyone ever heard of the Whitten name in Artemesia
Township. They were active in and around Flesherton beginning circa 1854. Andrew came to Canada from County Armagh, Northern Ireland with his two other brothers Robert and Thomas Whitten.
Thomas Hewitt married a daughter of Robert Whitten
whom he must have met near Andrew Whitten's farm.
Thomas Hewitt's mother Mary Hewitt was a widow when she arrived
in Canada Also from Northern Ireland.
