My great-great grandfather Donald Gillis born 1846 in Scotland married Christina Matthews in 1875 (Owen sound), had children Margaret(1876) and Beatrice.
Margaret married Charles Roberts of Haliburton,Ont. in 1895 and eventually moved to Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. They had 5 children including my grandfather Howard Roberts who married Mina McKinley, they had 2 children Charles (my dad) and Dorothy. My dad moved to Lansing Michigan after high school to work for General Motors, where I also live and work.
Margaret's name appears on my family tree page as Margaret Glover Gillis Roberts.
