I am seeking information on a particular branch of the IRWIN family that had resided in both Proton & Artemesia Townships.
JOHN & JANE (maiden name unknown) IRWIN had one daughter, SARAH IRWIN, born circa 1830 in Ireland. SARAH IRWIN later married Thomas Reid of Proton Township in 1858. At that time, I believe that both the Reids and Irwins were neighbours, residing on the 3rd Range of Proton Township.
In particular, I am attempting to learn the maiden name of John Irwin's wife, Jane. Secondly, I would assume that Sarah (Irwin) Reid also had other Irwin siblings that were also residing in the same vicinity.
Sarah (Irwin) Reid's death appears not to have been registered. Her death occurred after 1901 as she was listed on that year's census in Artemesia Township. I might add that her husband, Thomas Reid had died previously in 1891. Would anyone have a death date for her??
Lastly, I am also interesting in tracking down a photograph of Thomas & Sarah (Irwin) Reid. No photograph is known to exist on the Reid side of the family, so I am hoping that perhaps another related Irwin descendant would hold a picture of this couple.
