Seeking any descendants of JOHN MORRISON (b. circa 1821 in Ireland) and his wife, NANCY THOMPSON (b. circa 1818 in Ireland).
This family immigrated from Derry County, Ireland in the 1840's and first settled in Nottawasaga Township, Simcoe County. Later, in the 1850's, the family relocated to Artemesia Township, Grey County.
They had a family of at least six known children - Margaret Ann Morrison (b. 1843); Jane Morrison (b. 1849); Emily Morrison (b. 1850); Esther Morrison (b. 1852); Nancy Morrison (b. 1854); and Sarah Morrison (b. 1856).
In particular, Emily Morrison married JOHN REID in 1881 at Flesherton, Artemesia Township, Grey County, Ontario. Following the death of her husband, she later remarried Boyd Thompson in 1892, also in Flesherton. No children were born to these two unions.
