I have a Nancy MCARTHUR married to John WOODS.
John was of English decent and was born in 1828.
I have 4 of his children being born in Glenelg. He and Nancy have 7 children. Born in Glenelg were:
Alexander
John
George
James
He farmed and resided on Lot 8, Con24.
Next to him lived a Thomas WOOD at Lot 8, Con 25. I am presuming these 2 are brothers. Thomas is married to Elizabeth.
John WOODS and Nancy McArthur (in the 1881 census she is listed as ? Mary not Nancy) But with the same children that Nancy had so I am presuming they are one and the same.
At the residence of John WOODS and Nancy MCARTHUR. 1881 Census this Glenelg family is residing in Vaughn, West York. With them lives a Jennet Mc?Carter....I am presuming it should read MCARTHUR, as she is probably Nancy's sister as Nancy is 50 years old at this time and Jennet is 52.
My dilema is .....John is my GGGrandfather. I need more info on this family. Also, on THomas if he is John's Bros. Are there anymore brothers and who is John's father?
