Thomas Burns was born in Monroe Michigan in 1836. His mother was Mary Burns of Irish descent born in 1805. His father was James Burns. In the 1950 census Mary and Thomas were living with a family named Seba and Margret Murphy in ward 1 of Monroe county Michigan. There in no mention of James at this time. I know Thomas moved to Canada to Sydenham county Ontario.He lived at Lot 4 Conc1 NRC Sydenham. I have not been able to determine if his mother was with him at this time or what became of her or his father James. Thomas Married Priscilla Silverthorne in 1858 and they moved to Christie Twp Parry Sound district in 1872. He died there in 1905. Any information regarding Mary or James would be appreciated.
