Dear Cindy : I finally read your messages to me. I too had to get a new hard drive my computer was away 1 month, and have not checked this board in awhile. Brian Keeling sent me some information you sent him on this family. Thankyou Brian. I didn't know how I was connected then ,but now I do. Joseph Staves born 1841, married Sophia Sutton born 1846.in Sarawak township,on may 17 1868. They had Catherine Staves born 1871 and William Percy Staves born 1875. Sophia died shortly after having William Percy, and Joseph left the 2 children with William Sutton on his farm in Sarawak. Catherine Sutton had already died. Catherine Sutton's mother Mary and Catherine, William Sutton's oldest daughter looked after them and the rest of her sibblings. William Percy Staves and Catherine Staves eventually went to Cape Croker Reserve with Catherine Sutton's mother Mary, their grandmother to live. William Percy Staves is my g grand father . William Percy married Amy Mitchell and had James Herny Staves my grand father. You are related to Catherine Sutton also. I have seen your name on the family tree .I gave this to my sister to photo copy. When I get it back I will look you up and tell you how .Email me soon cousin about 7 times removed.
