Looking for descendants of John Shaw b. ca. 1848 at Sandend/Whitby.
According to family, he left Whitby ca.. 1880 to seek his fortune in the Yukon. He arrived and supposedly stayed in Owen Sound. His daughter Anny Ruth (Shaw)Fenton joined him with her family.
Anny Ruth and family eventually ended up in Windsor, and then came to Detroit, MIchigan. John was to have remarried and started a second family..two sons, with the second wife.
Hoping to make contact with descendants of those two sons...will share information.
