Filter level

Hi folks,this probably looks obvious but I want to get this right first time. Am I right in thinking that the top of my filter will be level with the center of my skimmer as I have the walls finshed and the skimmer in place and now I,m putting in the filter base. Thanks for your help as I rely on this forum for guidance.
