For Att Alan

by Susan

Hi Alan

In 2003 we lost all our stock to a hot summer and a pump fail while on holiday, 1st for a long time.
So we started again last May so all my stock are new, some around 5 years old (poor now!)
The fish we had in our old pond were 26 years old and younger also very tame sitting on your hand at feeding time and all had names
as you can imagine we were very upset, but 12 months later we started digging as we decided we miss keeping koi, we have been running just over 12 month now. It was quite a shock how things had changed ref filters and water testing still have come through the new pond syndrome and now running with gin clear water all test spot on
I belive that they can live up to 40 years and some even longer if you look after them and feed the best you can. and the most important thing, is the water quality.
