Hi David
I presume from your description that your tub is curved rather than flat sided ?
If so then probably best to use a curved flange connector. The problem is that they only seem to come in 4" size although you could always glue in some reducing sleeves to take it down to 2"
( I believe Henderson Plastics will make you curved "specials" at other sizes if you ask them ! )
Of course, you'll need to seal the connector both sides with a polyurethane sealant such as Don Brevan when you screw it all together.
Wear disposable plastic gloves when handling and smoothing off the sealant as it sticks to everything and you probably won't get it off your skin otherwise.
Before drilling the hole, measure five times, drill once !
Good luck
