Hi Sue I,m experiencing a similar problem except the casualties so far are my four large ghost mirrors and commons . All my koi, goldfish ,orfe and tench are unaffected .
The problem started three days ago the ghosties appeared to have whitespot but also a massive increase in slime on their bodies . I Treated the pond with Interpet anti parasite . The next day I tested the water PH 8.5 Ammonia 0.0 ,I repeated the anti parasite treatment . Yesterday the largest mirror had changed colour from a golden brown to almost white and
was looking very stressed . I tested the water again ,
PH 8.4 Ammonia 0.0 Nitrite 0.0 Nitrate 12.5 .I treated the pond with malachite and formalin .
Today three ghosties don,t look quite so bad, the largest mirror there appears no change . In the morning I will isolate the fish and try to treat on its own .All other fish appear OK .
Has anyone got any ideas as to whats going on and what perhaps I,m doing wrong .
