I am looking to build an indoor concrete pond about 8'x24'x6'. The question I have is how thick should the bottom and sides be? It'll also be about 18-24" above ground for a seating ledge. Should I add sealer to the concrete and fiberglass for reinforcing concrete (shredded fiberglass is mixed in concrete)? Not sure if the sealer and/or fiberglass would be bad?
There will be about 2 or 3 bottom drains, lights and maybe a skimmer. I want to make sure this will last forever. The concrete will also be sealed using pool paint or Hecht rubber paint.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
