I have a 16000l pond and only have 11 8-9inch koi and a sturgeon which have been in since start up at the end of August,
MY questions
Every time we go out they come up to feed , sould I have stopped by now, my pond is not heated but insulated. Ammonia levels are 0 but nitrate has crept up to 0.83 PH is 7.5, will the nitrifying bacteria continue to work or will they be lying dormant at the moment.
Like I say the pond has only been running since the end of August so will the filter have been able to mature enough yet, I am running a nexus 300 with answer I am aerating the pond with an airtech 80 and the filter with a medo 45, should I continue with aeration all over winter
