Re: Re Anonymous Posts

I fully agree with everything that Alan says in this post.

The Forum was originally set up to allow koi-keepers who use the Koi Cymru website to ask additional questions, and to discuss items relating to pond building and koi keeping, and I think this is now working very well.

You do not have to register to post on this Forum. I think this is appeciated by many people, but it could be open to abuse. So far there has not been a major problem.
Professional advertising is not tolerated and I presently remove about six messages a month. They are usually posted overnight and I remove them before 0630hrs every day so most people never see them. When I am away then Keith monitors it every morning, and takes the necessary action.

I also do not like to see anonymous posts for the reasons stated by Alan.
It has been argued that anyone could use a false name instead, but at least as long as they do stick to the same name it looks better than Anonymouse, and the message is associated with that name. Many of our regular contributors do add their email address and I think this is good.

There are many good questions and answers on this forum and I intend to add some of them to the Question and Answer pages on the website to help other koi-keepers in the future.
The search button on this Forum is very useful for checking previous posts, but does not seem to be used very often.

I am in the process of changing the Koi Cymru website over to another service provider due to cost. I run other websites on the new provider and you should see no difference. If there are any problems with links or missing pages then please do let me know as the aim is to make the website as easy to use as possible.
