Several koi lying on their side and clearly struggling so decision made to heat with gas. www.pond-doctor.co.uk suggest a 40,000BTU boiler and 65,000 BTU heat exchanger should suffice. A local enthusiast heats his 4,500 gall pond successfully with a 65000 BTU exchanger. From experience can members recommend boiler/exchanger sizes. Is a modern system boiler (expansion chamber and pump within the boiler) suitable. Any comments/help appreciated.
