Whats going on? I have green algea that is going mad, I don't mind a nice biase of green on the sides but this is getting very long and stringy, I have had it before in the summer but never in january, I was told it was because I have too many minerals in the water ,(which by the way is gin clear as always)what I'm wanting to know is, what can I put into the water to take away these uncalled for minerals ,last time it happen I got some powered stuff from the koi place ,it killed all the algea but it all ended up in my filters and took me ages to get it back to square one .
All the fish are good and healthy
Any ideas or helpful comments most welcome.
