I have a new pond of 2000 gallons, with 4 very small Koi in it.
I have just tested the water with my OASE testing kit and have got myself confused.
Here are the results
PH - 7.5
TH - 6 DH
KH - 4 KH
NO2 - 0.00 mgl
the bit that has confused me is the TH and KH test.
Instructions say for KH add three drops and shake. then add 1 drop at a time and shake and check colour. repeat until water turns from red to green.
Mine took the initial 3 drops and then a further 3 drops. so is my reading 3 DH or 6 DH?
With KH, same problem.Add 1 initial drop and then repeat until colour changes from blue to yellow. I added the initial drop and then 3 more.
So is my reading 3 KH or 4 KH?
Either way the readings seem too low. Am I correct?
If it is too low, what is the solution?
Please help cos I haven't got a clue.
