From what ive read on this filter i think it would be ideal for a 1000Gallon pond, and also you can never have too much filtration. I think the manufacturers state it can cope with 2000G but i think 1000G is more realistic. But i dont know how it will cope with high stocking rates as it only has 30L of K1 which is static. Might want to consider more biological filtration if you plan on high stocking rates. Hope this helps.
