Sounds like lockjaw. Lost a large Koi due to this, I had had him for about 15 Years and it just appeared Very unusual and means a slow death as the fish will eventually starve to death! As far as I am aware there is no cure apart from manual manipulation under a anesthetic. I hope Im wrong. Sorry John
