Hi, I posted the other day asking about info and advice on a pond setup.
I will be getting a Pond Specialist in to build my pond.
I want a pond 10' x 10' square, two thirds will be 2 foot deep (child proof reasons) the final third will drop to 3 1/2 - 4 foot. I want it conrete and no plastic liner, so i'm guessing it will have to be fibre glassed.
It will all be below level.
I will do the digging myself and also buy and connect the fliters, pumps, ect all myself.
So basically the specialists will be laying the pipes (I'll buy myself) and then laying the base and building the walls, also they will build a small housing for my filter chambers and pump.
How much do you think this will costs about (just paying them)? I'm looking for a very rough estimate, so dont worry about getting it spot on.
I was told by a specialist in the yellow pages that he could do it for about £600 (rough estimate if i buy and connect the mechanicals my self), I was personally thinking it would cost much more, so I was abit weary of that.
I'd ofcourse get loads of estimates when the time comes, But what do you guys think I'd be looking at?
Thx,
Mike
