Hi, i haven't used the cloverleaf filters, they do look like a good filter though, and i think the drains are flush with the bottom of the filter so are probably easier to clean. And they would be better for conversion to K1 as all the chambers are round. Try and get to a dealer which stocks all the filters and have a good look round them before you buy. Good Luck
