I would say no ... the fish need to be as undisturbed as possible. Plus you'd lose the benefit of the bottom of the pond being slightly warmer than the top, which is also why airstones and waterfalls are turned off. Approaching the spring, you need your water as 'mature' as possible.

I've left my fish completely alone for the last 3 years, over the winter, and they've been fine.
