Help - starting my first pond

Hi everyone,

Im starting to dig my first pond.

the overall size is 20ft x 4ft x 3ft deep.

Im planning on having fish in there but not carp. Its more of a large wildlife pond.

Would I require a filter for this size pond? or could I have selected plants in there to do the job?

any help would be great.
