I have a 8year old female Koi. normally very active ,but noticed over last few weeks how fat she is getting at the rear underside of her body,Obviously she has eggs.My question.She has become vey slow in movement and justs basks.How long do the stay in this state before she hatches,I am not sleeping this pregnancy lark,does your head in.Thanks the advice will assure me all is ok .She looks in good shape.I have no problems in pond.and I do not want to keep the roe.
