Israeli koi are claimed to be vaccinated against KHV, and I have read that survivors of a KHV outbreak can and probably will be carriers of the disease, so it would follow that a vaccinated koi could be a carrier of KHV. This is why many people will not knowingly have an israeli of malaysian koi in their pond.
