i have a 11ft diameter 2200 gal koi pond. i did have a argonaut swimmimg pool pump running it but it has packed up. Pond consists of a vortex and 3 bays and a waterfall. The swimming pool pump was more than efficeint but the waterflow was a bit too much coming out of the waterfall. Is a external pump more suited to koi pumps than a submersible one? Any recommadations would be appreciated.
