I talked to Dave for the first time last week in Atlanta and was simply thrilled to get the chance to meet someone who exemplifies the lives of so many. As a fellow small business owner, I work tired days to accomplish a goal that may never come to fruition. Dave and his wife, Helen, do the same in the world of auto racing. They are an example to NASCAR fans all across our country.
Of all the drivers I spoke with in Atlanta, Jarrett, Bobby Labonte and Bill Elliott, no conversation gave me the excitement that talking to Dave did. He is a true entrepreneur and patriot of capitalist America! May his retirement bring him peace and fulfillment. LONG LIVE THE #71!
