OOC--or at least, as much that as anything else. Interesting thread, Di'Ethe. So. We're going for power, and it'll be a little less puzzle-oriented that the Control thread, but less hack-and-slash than the normal threads... I hope. I know where I'm going with this, but I haven't any idea how we're getting there.

IC--The Dragon watched as his more orderly comrades left down their passage into the mountain, while those hungry for power stayed behind. Drask felt a momentary pang at being separated from his water-sister, but Naur had long been self-sufficient before he'd unwittingly bound himself to her and her to him in the simple act of quenching his thirst. Nothing to be done about it now, she was gone and he was here--not to lead, nor to follow necessarily. Drask just wanted to follow the tunnel to the end of its path.

The WarAngels retraced the footsteps, wondering at what beasts lay within the cave, that they might come out on bipedal hooves or three-clawed feet. As they tread lightly on the road that led beneath the dark side of the mountain, the WarAngels found it getting hotter. After they marched on for a number of hours, they found themselves at a split. The passage branched off to the right and the left in addition to continuing straight ahead. There was a sign.

All ye seekers of the stone's power, of power's Stone, know ye this:

Three to death and one beyond
Which will find no evil spawned?
Heaven, Hell, and unconcerned
In one fire you'll not be burned.
Neutral path to start the game
But bending out, you'll find the same:
Left defines the Maker's turns,
While right defies, his brother's ferns.
If no recoiling course is seen,
the enter in the middle sheen,
For Chaos then, shall lead you home
Into the hell of Power's dome.

Drask thought for a moment, and couldn't decide between the passages. There were three, he'd been down three. Two cancelled, so he chose the third. Drasireis Kensismai Martissal strode into the flames that issued forth from the central passage, and emerged unscathed from the other side.

OOC--this depends on your character's alignment: Order/Chaos, Good/Evil. Next thread, I'll give the results of what happens to everyone (those who post) the rest...? shrugs Drask's choice is the one right for him, in a sense.

OOC- the path of the righteous man... is the... why do we have to go down 3 more paths after splitting up already? there are no qualifications for the house of altair.

IC- vAldiCi decided that the pathes that lay before them were another illusion of the mountain..
It did not take long to figure that out, for they were shimmering with an unnatural light if you could look closely..
In reality there was only one corridor. But that one corridor kept on shifting positions, so that it was hard to determine the right one..
vAl looked behind him as he saw Drask (who had just walked down one of the corridors) materialize 2 feet away.

"We would do well to stay together, brikari.." said vAldiCi.

OOC- uh huh.

OOC- This took me way too long to figure out.

IC- Vilset looked at the sign for a very long time. It began to make him annoyed. For you see, Vilset is the kind who prefers to get things right the first time, and despises making foolish mistakes. He thought about what the sign was leading to, and where the paths were leading to. Reluctantly, he figured that he would have to be lead by Drask's example. He then walked down the centre path. It was not a mimick of the dragon; for the vampire knew, to each their own. Now each of his companions must choose their own path.

OOC- if I could save time in a microwave...

OOC--it'd be nice if people posted. Ironically enough, the Control thread, with fewer people, has the most people posting for it. sighs oh well. Xandim and Tarisse and Romu.
IC--Tarisse considered for a minute, thinking of the riddle she'd been posed (She actually figured it out, but just hasn't posted--she should get credit for that). She chose the path on the left over the center and walked through it, emerging on the other side to meet Drask and Vilset, but none of the others.

OOC - Im back all! Miss me? :P

IC - Xandim himself was more of a free spirit as of lately and decided to risk it and choose the path on the right. For some reason he felt drawn to it, like butter on toast. He had to be close to it.. and quickly we walked into it. Bright colors flashed before him as he matierlized with the rest of the group on the other side.
"Can we take that trick home vAl?" Xandim grinned, "I wanna do that again!"
